For parents
A calm way to start guitar.
Tabs4Kids is a small library of simplified guitar tabs for children roughly ages 6–12. A parent nearby is part of the design — not a social app, and not a full song archive.

How we teach
- Single-note melodies only. No barre chords, bends, or solos.
- Short excerpts — usually about eight bars, or just the famous intro kids already hum.
- Keys can be moved if a simpler position helps small hands.
- We prefer the thick Low E string when the riff still sounds like itself there.
- Rhythm is written in plain words, so nobody has to decode music notation on day one.
These are practice versions
Pop and rock pages are short educational simplifications for learning. They are not official transcriptions, not complete songs, and not affiliated with the artists or publishers. Public domain tunes are marked as such.
Privacy-minded on purpose
There are no child accounts in this first version. There are no comments, messages, or uploads. Kids do not create a profile to read a tab. See the privacy page for the short version.
How to sit together
- 1. Start on a Super Easy song the child already knows by ear.
- 2. Count frets from the nut together the first time.
- 3. Play painfully slowly. Cheer the notes that ring clean.
- 4. Stop while it still feels like a win.
