How to play this

  1. 1This is the keyboard hook as single guitar notes.
  2. 2Climb 0, 3, 5, then 8. Fret 8 is a stretch — slide if you need to.
  3. 3Walk back 8, 5, 3, hold open E. Same four notes, downhill.

Practice slowly

If fret 8 is too far, play 0 3 5 and stop. That climb already sounds like the song. Start with Hear the notes at full speed or slower, then copy on the guitar. If a note buzzes, press a little closer to the fret wire — not in the middle of the space.

This arrangement is a simplified educational excerpt for learning. Playback is a computer playing the tab notes, not the original recording. It is not a full transcription and is not affiliated with Rush.
